Tea & Concert Party
Thu 29 Mar 2018On Wednesday 28th March, we invited the elderly residents of Hawkhurst to come into school for afternoon tea and a concert performed by our Choir. We were delighted that 50 local residents were able to join us and we have already received some lovely feedback from them to say what a wonderful afternoon it was and how lovely to hear the children singing.
Thank you to Lisa Ridley and Tesco for providing all the refreshments and helping us to run the afternoon.
We are looking to make this a termly event and look forward to seeing our visitors in school again soon.

Carol Practice with Mrs Hacker and the Brass Group
Thu 14 Dec 2017Pupils who are enjoying brass music lessons with Mr Traves, were surprised this week when Mrs Hacker joined them for a carol or two. Allthough she wasn’t technically playing a Brass Instrument the group were very pleased to have her join them.
Mr Traves has a number of pupils across several primary schools in the area and is provided as part of an initiative by Cranbrook Town Band to get youngsters playing music. Lessons are free although a small charge is made to cover instrument insurance costs. Pupils have played in several school assemblies and go on to play in the Cranbrook Youth band who in turn have participated in a number of concerts with the town band throughout the year.
