Rainbows Summer Activities - 21 Jun 2018
Here are a few of the things we have been doing over the last few weeks :-
A Police Visit
Our friendly traffic police officer, Graham, came to visit. He told us all about the uniform and equipment he carries on his person and then we went out to explore the traffic car. He took everything out and showed us how it worked. We all had our photo taken in the front seat and he gave us a soft dog, called Nero, which he carries in his car to give to children who are involved in accidents to take their mind off of the incident.

Harvesting
We have started to harvest the crops that we planted a few months ago. So far we have collected lettuce, garlic and potatoes. With these we made garlic butter for our toast, cheese and lettuce sandwiches and we have eaten our boiled potatoes. This week, 18th June, we have started harvesting strawberries, raspberries, and peas …… oh and on Tuesday we picked our first carrot. We are enjoying eating them as we pick them.

Making Bread
We have also made bread to go with our Little Red Hen story. Once we had made the bread we took the rolls to Forest School and chose a filling. They were yummy.
